UNIVERSITATEA TRANSILVANIA DIN BRASOV
The University Transilvania of Braşov is an accredited Higher Education public institution in Romania. Its history began in 1948, when the Forestry Institute was established at Brasov. Since then, the institution has continuously developed, currently being the largest and the best reputed university in the region, consisting of 18 faculties, over 20,000 students, 788 academic staff members and 29 research centers.

The Department of Product Design, Mechatronics and Environment is in charge with the Environmental Engineering curricula, for the students from Faculty Product Design, Mechatronics and Environment. Part of the members of this department are members of the Renewable Energy Systems and Recycling Research Center, and participated in competitive research and educational projects, aiming at developing products and systems for efficient solar and wind energy conversion and for a clean environment.
